Install Issues
Issue: How to Install and Register
Summary: Orneta products can be installed on Windows Mobile based devices, this guide wile help you with the process.
Solution: The installation process is simple.
(1) Download and run the installer
(2) Ensure your device is connected if you are using the PC installer
(3) If you see the ‘Unknown publisher trust confirmation’ screen, Select ‘Yes’

(4) Wait for the Installation process to complete

(5) Installation may prompt you to enter your Owner Information, select ‘Yes’

(6) Please enter the Owner Information for your device exactly as it is for your Serial Number

(7) Installation should be successful, press ‘Done’

(8) Start the application, from the Home screen, select Start, select the product icon from the Start Menu, or the Games folder.
(9) If the ‘About’ screen is not displayed, Select the Menu, and About.

(10) Select ‘Register’ to enter your Serial number. Select Done to save your Serial number.

Summary: This can be caused at the ‘Unknown publisher trust confirmation’ screen by (1) selecting No, (2) waiting too long, (3) another screen displayed (battery full, etc.), or (4) the home or back key is pressed.

Solution: Start the installation again, and select ‘Yes’ at the ‘Unknown publisher trust confirmation’ screen. NOTE: Ensure ‘Done’ has been selected at the ‘Installation was unsuccessful’ screen otherwise the screen will be re-shown without starting the installation.
Issue: Does not have sufficient system Permissions

Summary: This error may be cause by insufficient main memory on the device. Windows Mobile 5.0 requires 2 times the memory required for the install even if the install is to the storage card. Installation was unsuccessful. The program or setting cannot be installed because it does not have sufficient system permissions.
Solution: (1) Soft Reset your device (press and hold power), (2) copy the install file to the Storage Card, and (3) start the installer from the Storage Card on the device. Optionally you can remove other applications, files, pictures, or music on your device.
Issue: Simple Mobile Signing Certificates
Summary: Orneta applications use Simple Mobile Signing to provide an increased level of security to end users. If your device does not have the Simple Mobile Signing Certificates, you may see the following screen during installation.
Solution: Its easy to install the Simple Mobile Signing Certificates, to ensure your device stays secure. Please download the installer. Once installation has been successful, all Orneta products will install and execute properly.
Choose an Installer: (Personal Computer or Device)
Personal Computer:
1. Connect your device and run the Simple Mobile Certificates Installer (simple.certs.exe).
2. Follow the installer instructions; the installer will explain how to enable
RAPI if it is not enabled.
3. When the Certificates are installed to
your device you will be able to install Orneta products.
Device: (Dependant upon device security
settings; may not work.)
1. Download the Simple Mobile Certificates Device OTA
Installer (simple.certs.cab)
2. Execute the installer on your device, if it does not work use the PC
Installer.
3. Install the Orneta Product
How to Verify:
You can verify the Simple Signing Certificates are available on your device using the Device Security Manager from Microsoft. Alternatively, if an installation works properly the certificates are installed.
1. Download the
Device Security Manager Power Toy for Windows Mobile 5.0
2. Verify the 'Simple Mobile Signing' entry exists in the SPC Store of the Guest device.
Issue: How to download a device specific version
Summary: Orneta products support Windows Mobile 5.0 based Smartphone and Pocket PC. We also provide editions for older Windows Mobile 2003 based devices.
Solution: Please download the latest version for Windows Mobile 5.0 from http://mobile.orneta.com/ For Windows Mobile 2003 SE and earlier please visit http://mobile.orneta.com/past.php
Issue: Where is Scissors Mobile after installation?
Summary: Scissors Mobile does not add an icon to the Start Menu, it adds functionality to Outlook Mobile's menu.
Solution: To access the functionality of Scissors Mobile, open the Outlook Mobile application and select the Menu. The Scissors Mobile Edit Menu is available in the following Outlook Mobile applications:
