Orneta is an Independent Software Vendor for the Microsoft Windows Mobile platform, with more than 200,000 downloads by end-users of it software products. With award winning software such as Orneta Notepad and Orneta Reader, Orneta provides some of the most popular Windows Mobile based Smartphone applications worldwide.
Orneta was founded in 2002 as a mobile software division of Hamerdeals.pl in the European Union, in the ancient city of Cracow (Krakow) of southern Poland, the eastern neighbor of Germany. In 2004, Orneta went bankrupt and the division was acquired by msmobiles.com in 2004, and released as freeware to the Windows Mobile community. Orneta was then acquired in 2005, and development was restarted.
